The Library of Congress has been archiving and cataloging its collection for almost the entirety of the United States’ history. To keep track of the millions of books and items within the Library, it developed its own classification system. This amazingly expandable and adaptable system assures that books are sorted and shelved nearby others within the same sphere of knowledge. The LCC (Library of Congress Classification) is widely used – especially in university library systems. This bright and colorful chart serves as a simple, easily-interpreted guide to library sections so that knowledge-seekers may find the category they are looking for as well as other books on the same subject within easy reach nearby.
