Light of the World – Learning English through the Bible — These lessons will help your students learn English as a Second Language and learn about God’s own book, the Bible. Literacy International was blessed in recent years by the expertise of Martha A. Lane (Passport to the World of English) and Rev. Donald F. Edic (Using Everyday English). Building upon their proven methodology, Light of the World editor Dr. Melina Gallo has overseen the development of this updated Literacy International curriculum. Light of the World: Full-color lessons in PowerPoint, Slides and PDF format with detailed teaching instructions are available free of charge from LiteracyInternational.net. Your students can also watch the Light of the World ESL lessons on YouTube with audio narration and songs. When completed, Light of the World will comprise 350 lessons, with over 700 hours of instruction. The Light of the World team is a group of dozens of volunteers from around the world including artists, musicians, singers, writers and experienced ESL teachers. This teacher’s book includes the English Teaching Quick-Start Guide and detailed notes to help even new volunteers teach with confidence.
