Livy Visits the Eye Doctor

Join Livy as she goes to the eye doctor for the first time! She starts off nervous but by the end, she can’t wait to return next year for her yearly checkup. Written by an optometrist, Livy Visits the Eye Doctor is a beautifully illustrated, rhyming story that teaches children and their parents what to expect for their annual eye exam. It differentiates from many children’s books that are about glasses by teaching some of the medical aspects of the eye exam. This allows children to be familiar with most of the tests and not be anxious for their next eye exam! About the Author Stephanie Sonnenburg, OD studied Biological Sciences at Clemson University and received her OD from Illinois College of Optometry. She currently works at the Veterans Affairs Clinic in North Carolina. When not practicing optometry, she spends time making memories with her family. She enjoys running, skiing, traveling, and playing with her children.
