Milk Before Meat: Elementary Principles of Christ

For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. Hebrews 5:12 Do you realize that even the Lord Jesus Christ Himself went through the process of growth, from infancy to a full-grown man? As leaders, we can no longer circumvent the process of discipleship in a new believer’s life. The Holy Spirit will not stamp that seal of approval until we first learn and desire the milk of the Word of God Discipleship training begins with learning and living according to the elementary principles of Christ. Let’s give them their milk before they try to eat meat.
