Sarod Symphony

Sarod maestro Ustad Amjad Ali Khan has always been known for his ability to evoke moods through his intricate handling of the traditional Indian ragas on the sarod His new album Sarod Symphony is a presentation of some of his compositions presented in a symphony It is an attempt to showcase both Western and Indian styles of music while preserving the identity and purity of the Indian raga and also keeping the character of Western classical music intact In the album he is accompanied by his sons Amaan and Ayaan Ali Khan The music is arranged and conducted by music arranger Stephan Devassy
