These d8 dice have eight hexagonal faces numbered 1-8. The shape is known as a truncated octahedron. These dice are closer to spherical and therefore tumble better than the more common d8 with triangular faces. This shape is also one of the few polyhedra that will tile three-dimensional space. The small blank square faces only turn up around 2% of the time.
