Traditional Orff-Schulwerk style individual bar; this bar sounds two octaves below middle C (the octave below a traditional Orff bass xylophone). The fiberglass bar is resistant to changes in temperature and humidity, so this is a good choice for humid climates or rooms that are not climate-controlled. Dust with a soft cloth as needed; care for the resonating chamber as you would for fine furniture. Mallet not included.
Features
- Easy-to-care-for fiberglass bar; pitch C; tuned to A=440, the industry standard.
- Bar is also overtone-tuned (first dominant overtone tuned to the fundamental note).
- All-wood resonating chamber produces a full, rich sound.
- Black tuning plate under the bar allows for slight adjustments in tuning.
- A good substitute for timpani in the classroom instrumentarium.
