This is the “go to” whistle for many players, from the newest beginner to the most discriminating professional. This instrument (the Kildare model) is a bit louder, and quite a bit more flexible in pitch. Ideal for a more experienced musician, it is a bit harder to control (not at all difficult, but harder) than the Oriole model. The reward for the experienced player is a richer tone quality and more volume across the entire range of the instrument. Made in the USA of durable (moisture-proof!) plastic, these whistles have a great tone quality. A fingering chart, vinyl pouch, and thumb rest are included with your whistle purchase. We carry this Susato pennywhistle in both C and D – the D whistle might be more traditional, but the C instrument is perhaps a bit more flexible for players that are playing more contemporary music.
