The Gospel in the Eyes of the Sunni Muslim Community: An Exploration of Primary Sources, Volume 1

There are very few resources in English to explore the commentaries of Ahl Al-Sunna. As a result, it difficult to have meaningful and deep Muslim-Christian dialogue in the English-speaking world. This book is an attempt to help meet this need. In Part I, we explore Quranic texts and commentaries from Ahl Al-Sunna that directly relate to how the earlier revelations (including the words of Christ) are viewed. Discussion questions are found at the end of each section. In Part II, we examine Quranic texts and commentaries from Ahl Al-Sunna that relate to the death and resurrection of Jesus. Discussion questions are found at the end of each section. Last, in Part III, we explore the Biblical texts that relate to the Quranic texts examined. In the end, it is my hope that each monotheistic community would understand more about the agreements or disagreements that exist between the primary sources which our communities hold dearly.
