This e-Portfolio e-book was created, so that it will be able and available to help inform not only special education teachers, but, also students, parents, care-givers, and other professionals who play a role in the life of a student/child/children with a learning disability (s) in the public school classroom and/or learning environment. Another reason why I decided to comprise this course assignment into a detailed e-book because I feel it is important to let others know the importance and seriousness on how students/learners in the regular/special education setting are to be categorized, according to the How? What? When? Why? and Where? questions as they pertain to educating students in this population of learners. During the weeks of my student observation in various classroom and grade level settings, I learned the significance on how to observe, assess, and evaluate how teachers and other educational professionals can diagnose the characteristics of the learning disable student/children and how to place them in the appropriate special education learning environment. Lastly, I created this e-portfolio assignment e-book so that it may/might help other and future special education student-teaching/teachers to learn how to identify, prepare, and assess various levels of learning disabilities in children from 4-years- to 18-years of age in the special education populace of learners in the public school system and young-adult day/community programs.
