Description The Favorite Cat captures the alert gaze of a handsome tabby in a hand- colored lithograph by Nathaniel Currier (American, 1813-1888). Currier gained lasting fame as co-principal of Currier & Ives (with James Ives), renowned in the latter half of the nineteenth century for their wildly popular lithographic prints. We have adapted this charming image in the Museum’s collection, originally printed and published about 1840-50, for our delightful canvas tote.
