Written for Kinetic Education’s first Book Writing Summer Camp, each piece is a demonstration of the profound concept of sonder–the realization that every passerby has a life as vivid and complex as our own. From stories of mighty heroes to students following their dreams, from fantasy menus to haunted houses, from history blurbs to moral dilemmas…this anthology has it all. Through the lens of curious, growing minds, the works inside invite exploration of the beauty of the universe, the mysteries of existence, and the unique complexities of human experience. What does it mean to find joy in the simple things? Dive into the rich tapestry of the worlds our young authors have conjured this past summer, kick back with a delicious snack, and discover how we might be more similar (or different) than we ever imagined. ———- Kinetic Education is a nonprofit dedicated to setting in motion the potential of youth through project-based education, leaving our students with something to remember. Book Writing Camp started its journey in the summer of 2024, which produced an astounding 135,000+ words written over the span of nine weeks by our wonderful student writers. Because of their hard work, they ended the year as published authors.
