Josh and Tank have fun racing a snowmobile through the Alaskan wilderness until they crash into a tree, leaving them alone and on foot in unfamiliar territory. Their situation is complicated when they realize that they are being trailed by a wolf pack. Wolf attacks on humans are rare, but these hybrids – half dog, half wolf – are not afraid of people. With wild game scarce, the wolf-dogs could prey on the boys. They desperately search through deep snows for a cabin when they meet a native girl. She has been bitten by a rabid fox and must get to a doctor soon for protective shots. She’s leading the boys to her village, but her rapidly deteriorating health slows them down and makes the boys fearful that she is coming down with the dread disease and could infect them. Do they leave her behind and save themselves or stay together and risk all their lives?
