This workbook exposes the story of schwa and the importance schwa plays in our English language. The schwa is a quick and effortless sound in speech, occurring naturally and never appearing in accented syllables. When determining vowel pronunciation, it is crucial to rely on the vowel in the accented syllable. Approximately 20% of all spoken vowels can transform into a schwa sound in unaccented syllables, demonstrating its common occurrence in the English language. The creation of this workbook was initially created for in-person workshops, but then designed for self-learning with lots of interactive and engaging activities for better understanding.
