Words & Vocabulary BASIC/Not Boring 6-8+: Inventive Exercises to Sharpen Skills and Raise Achievement

This set of standards-based reproducible activity pages is basic, not boring. Words and Vocabulary intrigues students with a trip to an amusement park as they learn and use new vocabulary. They will move through the park as they work with prefixes, suffixes, and root words; recognize and use synonyms and antonyms; identify and use multiple meaning words and figurative language; and distinguish between denotation and connotation. An assessment and glossary of the vocabulary words is provided.
