World History Map Activities (World History Map Activities Revised and Updated)

Updated with new topics (post-Cold War Europe, the Middle East and Indian Subcontinent in the 1990s), 35 lessons ask students to locate key cities and regions of the past and present, following power shifts and boundary changes from ancient Egypt to the Persian Gulf War. Designed to spark beyond-the-textbook research, each lesson includes two pages of teacher background, a reproducible map, and a reproducible handout with directions indicating how students should color-code their maps (plus, often, short-answer questions for research).
